About Us

Our Story

Cynthia bought her first Maine Coon in 1996 from Annete Swanberg. Swanycoon Cinnamon Twist was a brown patch girl. Cynthia was head over heels in love. She spent the next year and a half learning how to care for these beautiful cats. Annette was very patient and taught Cynthia the ins and outs of bathing, showing, and caring for her cats. Cynthia was fortunate that Cinnamon became a Grand Premier in CFA. Cynthia made many friends at the CFA cat shows. Everyone was willing to help her learn and grow. (Thank you, Shana, Libby, Tina, John, Nancy, and the wonderful CFA family.) Cynthia started her first cattery, Cyburcoon, in 1997; it was her passion. She bred, raised, and showed Maine Coon Cats until 2004. At that point, her children were very active in extracurricular activities, and she could not split herself in two anymore.

Cynthia's best friend in Oregon, Sarah, had heard everything about Cyburcoon Cattery and Cynthia's adventures. One day in 1999, she asked Cynthia for a kitten. Cynthia had a beautiful litter between Magellan and Speller. Sarah flew to Kansas City. She was so excited to pick out her kitten. Cynthia asked Sarah to sit on the floor in the kitten room and let the kitten pick her. Fiona chose her. Sarah and Fiona had a wonderful 18-year relationship.

Fast forward to the spring of 2024. Sarah adopted a beautiful female tortie with white, Maine Coon with special needs. She sent Cynthia pictures, and that was it ... Cynthia was hooked again. The two decided to become business partners.
